Another part time project of Nina's is Stajnas Lobos, where she gets to do a more "rockish" kind of drumming. The band lineup is a very pregnant female
singer, Nina on drums and male guitarist and bass player. She would love to get in touch with other female punk drummers, so feel free to write to email her.

Playing cymbals, Lori grew interested in the snare drum, and worked to make the line for the following year. Her "Women don't play drums" boyfriend was soon history, and Lori achieved a spot in the high school snare line. She later won acceptance into the highly-competitive and nationally-recognized West Virginia University Drumline, and also became involved in the percussion ensemble and took lessons on marimba. She performed in the Departmental for the Percussion Dept., the Head of which told her she (a violin major) was good enough to have been a percussion major!

After college, Lori joined a community-based concert band at Rutgers University, and plays timpani on holidays and special occasions at church. She plays drum set with her church's "Praise Band" at Contemporary worship services, and is a snare drummer with the Drum Line of a local Drum & Bugle Corps. Over the years, she's learned from and worked with many talented musicians. Yearly, Lori and her husband (a tuba player she met at WVU) return for Homecoming to play in the 200-piece Alumni Band, and has her own Yamaha marching snare drum and carrier (thanks to eBay). Fortunately, Lori's husband John has no issues with chick drummers!
