  • Clare Bagnall... had a filthy temper as a child and her therapist suggested she take up drums as an alternative outlet for her aggression! Clare has been playing drums since the age of 11 and plays for Leeds Based Riot Grrrl band Eliza 69. The boys want her, but the RG's got her!

  • Ruth Bakker... is the drummer for all-girl group LADY!DIE from Rotterdam. She is the group's original drummer.

  • Sue Balaschak... drums for Burning Sage, an all-female rock band from Cleveland, Ohio. You can check out their latest CD on CD Baby.

  • Aurora Bangarth... hails from London, Ontario, Canada. She plays drums/djembe and co-composes for the London-based rock band Something Savvy, in addition to studying percussion at The University of Western Ontario. She plans on attaining her Bachelor of Education, and possibly continuing on at the Masters level.   • Betsy Banger... starting the engine at 5 years old, revving up live by 14, and flat out pedal to the metal at 35! She's now playing blues/southern rock with The Michael Shaun Norton Band. Email.

  • Caroline Banks... contributes drums and vocals to London's Seafood. Their music consists of thrashing guitars and melodious hooks, but even better, they're signed to the label with quite possibly the best name in the world: Fierce Panda.

  • Cat Barber... started playing at the tender age of eight and can now be seen and heard in San Francisco's The Hail Marys.

  • Lori Barbero... provided the blistering beats for Minnesota's famed Babes in Toyland.

  • Faye Baron... has been playing drums since the seventh grade. She is 16 years old and played formerly for Jagged Pearl and now plays with Hybrid Soul. In addition to Faye's Synsonics 5 piece kit, Evans drumheads and Zildjian cymbals, she just bought a DW 7000 double-bass pedal. Email.

  • Melinda (Mindy) Barret... has been playing for fourteen years now with the Crap Detectors, Seattle's "local punk, distorted grunge-rock funksters."

  • Albana Barrocas... lives in Monetvideo, Uruguay and has been drumming since she was 12. She plays for a band called Kirlian and they have a demo on their site which you can listen to.   • Muriel Battersby... from Maryland is 52 years "young" and has been playing drums since she was 12. Girls were steered away from choosing drums and other "manly" instruments when Muriel was in elementary school so she begged her parents for a kit and finally received a 3-piece Kent. Currently she has a red 5-piece Pearl Export kit and her favorite, a beautiful white Rogers 5-piece kit!   • Baz... is an energetic drummer who had little drumming experience when she joined In Coincidence in mid 2002. Now, after performing a few gigs, In Coincidence has become known as the 1st all-girl punkrock trio in Singapore.

  • Janet Beveridge Bean... drums for Eleventh Dream Day and fronts the band Freakwater.

  • Ina Becker... is a drummer from Germany (born 1972, playing drums since 1993) currently playing for several local bands around Stuttgart/Germany including Allmand Chaoten Orchestra, Funk'N Mary, DaimlerChrysler Bigband Suttgart and Hope You Smile. Ina also draws musician cartoons. Email.

  • Laurie Bell... handled the drums and lead vocals for the all-female eighties pop band The Orchids, as well as for Tantrum and Puss in Boots.

  • Lisa Bell... is in Canada's only all-female cajun-zydeco band Louisiana Jane.

  • Elissa Bello ... used to drum for the Go-Go's (when they were called the Misfits). They were formed in 1978 in LA and couldn't find a drummer. Elissa drummed with them as a hobby for a while.

  • Slade Bellum... is part of the San Francisco-based, dyke, punk rock band Tribe 8. They've got attitude for days.

  • Cindy Blackburn... is one of the few female drummers in Montreal. She has drummed for Sundown for the past 8 years, playing mainly New Country, Southern Rock and just plain old Rock n' Roll. When Cindy is in the studio she uses her set of vintage Slingerland drums made in Chicago and when she plays live she uses her Yamaha Electric drums. Email.

  • Cindy Blackman... is best known for working with Lenny Kravitz, but she's upheld the backbeat and rhythm for a veritable "Who's Who" in jazz and rock--Jackie Mclean, Joe Henderson, Pharaoh Sanders, to name a few--in addition to doing her own solo work.   • Madison Blackman...has been drumming for 11 years and is first chair in her university jazz band, jazz combo, principal percussionist in orchestra, and plays with two bands.  She is a very swinging and jazzy drummer and is studying music with a concentration in percussion performance at washington state university.  She also plays bass and learning sax too! She has also recorded 3 CD's with her band jazzuu and hopefully will make it big soon.  email

  • Elleny R. Blair... is from Owensboro, KY. She is 18 years old and plans on joining the Army Band. Elleny's principal instrument is snare drum but she is also proficient in drumset, mallets and auxiliary and plans to go to school for music.   • Nikke Blout... hails from L.A. where she drums for The Deep Happy. Nikke's high-energy style is fluid and powerful--which it should be because she's been drumming since she was seven!

  • Catelyn Blythe... is in the band Watkins. She's only seventeen but she's already been winning awards for her drumming.

  • Paula Bocciardi... founded Three Hour Tour more than ten years ago, an all female band based in San Francisco, CA. They have a large fan base and play covers from Frank Sinatra to the Rolling Stones and beyond.

  • Alisa Bodai... is the drummer for Florida Christian rock band Impact. Alisa used to play for punk/hardcore band Think Again in upstate NY. She is an experienced church worship drummer and stage drummer. Email.

  • Amy Boettger... started drumming in Tampa, Florida in 1974, and has played nearly every type of music that requires percussion, including drum corps (Suncoast Sound Drum & Bugle Corps ’82 – ’84; Percussionist of the Year in ’84), drumlines (the "Big 8" drumline at Florida State University), numerous rock and jazz bands, as well as orchestral work. After a 15 year hiatus from drumming, she now lives in Salt Lake City, where she is an attorney by day and at night she kicks it up with one of the top bands in Utah; the all-women rock and blues band Sister Wives.

  • Maureen Brown... has for many years occupied the throne as Canada's Drum Queen. A highly sought after session and live drummer Maureen regularly plays across Canada at a wide variety of venues. For many years she appeared with her own band, "The Maureen Brown Band", where she could be found behind her set of Custom Pink Canwood Drums. Maureen is renowned amongst canada's family of Pro Musicians as much for her warm heart and boundless sense of humour as she is for her solid chops......

  • Sarah Brown... from Maryland plays with The Hormones. She got into drumming after seeing Dave Grohl play and she thinks the qualities that make a good drummer include speed, precision, technique and rhythm.

  • Ria Bunye... I'm turning 15 this May '05, and I'm from the Philippines.. I learned to play the drums just these past few months at church. I'm in a band right now with my fellow girlfriends who plays the other instruments with me... We jam and rock for our God during our youth services! I'm so happy 'cause people appreciate the way I bang the drums even though I'm still a beginner. Yet I wouldn't have received all these appreciation without my God helping me throughout..
