Fish Records: OK, so
this one is not technically just for drummers, it's for bands. Funkee Fish
is a small independent label based in Torbay, Devon (UK) that specialises
in folk, jazz, acoustic, singer/songwriter, funk, fusion & instrumental.
If you're interested in submitting music to them, you'll find a description
of the process on their website.

Carrington, Terri Lyne: became the house drummer for the "Arsenio Hall
Show" in 1989. Since then she has also toured the globe with Joe Sample, Al
Jarreau, Herbie Hancock, Gerald Albright and Lalah Hathaway. She was nominated
for a Grammy Award for her first release on Polygram, "Real Life Story" which
featured Carlos Santana, Patrice Rushen, John Scofield, Grover Washington,

Moe: played with The

Dave: During the limited
down time between tours, Dave accepts students for consultation and instruction.
He teaches out of his studio in Woodland Hills, California. If you are interested

Zehavi, Karen Phenpimon: is an American percussionist
living in Tel Aviv. Karen formerly played with Women from Hell and the Shijo
Ohashi Friday Nite Band. Her influences are from rock, jazz, new, classical
and ethnic music. Her site has information on general percussion, Israeli
percussionists and the Middle East mucis scene.

Breton International Drum Festival:
Held in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, CANADA, this annual drum festival is usually
held in April - check out their site for updated scheduling and information
about registration.
- Catskills
Womyn's World Drum and Percussion Happen'n:
Drum Central is dedicated to the advancement of women's participation in the
ancient and sacred rite of drumming. They support the expression of this tradition
in innovative, diverse and unifying ways, to create a personal and community
based art form. The overall focus of Drum Central is to further the cultural
evolution of a women's global drumming tradition in North America (late June).

Camp Oregon: Celebrate life through drum, dance and song (Aug/Sept).
- KoSA
International Drum Workshop and Festival: Held annually on the the picturesque
campus of Johnson State College, nestled in the Mountains of northern Vermont
(August).
- Montreal
Drum Fest:See some of the world's best accomplished drummers as well as
some rising stars at this annual weekend drum festival in Montreal. If you
only travel for one drum festival this year, make it this one! (November)
- One
World Beat Music Festival:
The One World Beat musical festival is an opportunity for local musicians,
bands, organizaions and venues to participate in a global project - for a
good cause. They have confirmed events in Canada, England, Africa and the
US. (March).
- Southern
& Eastern Ontario Womyn's Drum Camps:
Weekend drumming retreats for women and girls only. (June)
